Burn CDROM / DVDR in Linux
Burn .cue to CDR
Get the device ID:
cdrdao scanbus
Command to start CDR burn (replace device ID with your own):
time sudo cdrdao write -v 2 --speed 4 --device /dev/sr0 *.cue
Burn data CDR with disc-at-once (DAO)
First create toc-file "myimage.toc" with this content:
CD_ROM
TRACK MODE1
DATAFILE "myimage.iso"
Start burn:
cdrdao write --device /dev/sr0 --driver generic-mmc --speed 4 myimage.toc
Format DVD-RW
Formating a rewriteable DVD disc before burn:
dvd+rw-format -force /dev/sr0
Burn data DVDR
First, create the ISO image:
mkisofs -r -o /tmp/var-www-disk1.iso /tmp/data-files
Start burn:
growisofs -use-the-force-luke=dao -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hdx=myiso.iso -speed=2
